Manager Point-Of-Sale & Fare Collection Systems

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manages the design, development, testing, implementation and support of a 24/7 Point-of-Sale (POS) and fare collection systems for NJ TRANSIT.
• Develops and monitors project plans for all assigned systems and reports status to Director, POS and Fare Collection Systems.
• Tracks operating and capital project monies and monitors project progress.
• Manages and coordinates the activities of assigned personnel and provides technical assistance as needed.
• Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to implement new technologies and processes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's point-of sale and fare collection systems.

Education, Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management/administration, Computer Science, Engineering or related area, or equivalent.
• Seven (7) years of applied experience in fare collection/revenue systems projects with at least three (3) years of supervisory/managerial level responsibility a plus.
• In lieu of degree, can substitute one year of related business experience for each year of education required.
