About the role

Presbyterian is hiring a Manager - Plant Services and EVS to plan, coordinate and control specific Facility Maintenance operations. Responsible for the maintenance of specific physical facilities and ensuring an uninterrupted flow of utilities based upon existing design criteria. Major emphasis is placed upon preventative and predictive maintenance, coordination and supervision of Facility Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance personnel, and management of all construction and facility projects.

Responsibilities

• Administers and supervises the housekeeping and laundry functions of all hospital facilities.
• Directs and coordinates employee activities in multiple functions of one or more facilities.
• Interviews, selects, orients, evaluates, and terminates departmental staff to assure necessary staffing.
• Ensures enforcement of PHS Facility Maintenance policies and procedures.
• Evaluates employee performance, including corrective action when necessary.
• Assists in training of safety and education; attends educational forums applicable to healthcare maintenance.
• Ensures that repair and preventive maintenance work orders are completed in a timely, quality manner.
• Recommends program strategies to establish and implement policies and procedures for operations; supports organizational visions, values, and strategies.
• Evaluates, maintains, and monitors the performance of the PHS Facility Maintenance.
• Recommends departmental budget to ensure consistent and reliable operation of mechanical equipment.
• Participates in creating the yearly Capital Department Budget and on the Capital and Facilities Planning Committee.
• Establishes responsibilities for each employee and ensures they fully understand expectations.
• Reports Life Safety incidents to supervisory staff.
• Manages and coordinates the planning, implementation, and completion of all facility remodeling and construction projects.
• Manages the maintenance of all hospital facilities and land property.
• Understands departmental operating budget and ensures operations are within budget.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• High school plus trade or vocational school in a related field.
• Three to five years of experience in commercial, institutional, or healthcare facility at a management level preferred.

Pay

Pay Range Minimum Offer: $53,768.00
Maximum Offer: $91,520.00
