About the role
Supervise a team of 1-5 direct reports to manage the manufacturing operation efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct the manufacturing operation to meet production schedules safely and efficiently.
- Monitor daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Conduct root cause analysis of production and quality issues and make informed decisions based on risk assessment.
- Develop and implement action plans to meet or exceed KPIs when necessary.
- Lead initiatives related to YFIMS and YF iOS plant floor compliance.
- Oversee staff levels across departments by shift and ensure adherence to authorized levels.
- Monitor and control planned and unexpected overtime.
- Affirm that all plant guidelines and procedures are followed.
- Communicate regularly with direct reports and management, supervising their performance, including performance evaluations.
- Provide daily production updates to the Plant Manager and monthly production information for Monthly Operational Reviews (MOR).
Requirements
- 7-10 years of manufacturing experience.
- 5-9 years of experience within the automotive industry.
- Ability and willingness to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
- Computer literacy.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills.
