About the role

The Manager, IT Infrastructure Services within Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) is responsible for delivering IT infrastructure and operations services to private equity clients and their portfolio companies. This includes pre-acquisition IT diligence, merger integration and carve-out planning, day-1 and 100-day planning, performance improvement assignments, and interim I&O management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct IT infrastructure assessments and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Support merger integration and carve-out planning and execution
  • Drive IT infrastructure performance improvement initiatives
  • Manage IT infrastructure during stand-ups and integrations
  • Implement cloud migrations and optimize cloud spend
  • Provide interim IT infrastructure management services

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional consulting experience, with a focus on systems implementations, merger integration, business transformation, and change management
  • Experience in solution and enterprise architecture, IT assessment and strategy development, IT performance improvement, and cost reduction
  • Strong background in IT operations and service management, including compute, storage, and hosting strategies, and modern networking and collaboration tools
  • Proven ability to lead change and improve key business functions such as supply chain and finance/accounting
  • Excellent communication and writing skills to produce client-facing documents
  • Ability to analyze business processes and develop effective strategies
  • Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Proven track record of successful project management and delivery
  • Experience with ERP systems and other enterprise software
  • Knowledge of ITIL and other IT service management frameworks
  • Understanding of cloud technologies and hybrid cloud architectures

Pay

The salary range is $125,000 - $190,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. A discretionary bonus program is also available based on individual and firm performance.

Schedule

Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time may be required.
