Manager PEPI , IT M&A Infrastructure
About the role
The Manager, IT Infrastructure Services within Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) is responsible for delivering IT infrastructure and operations services to private equity clients and their portfolio companies. This includes pre-acquisition IT diligence, merger integration and carve-out planning, day-1 and 100-day planning, performance improvement assignments, and interim I&O management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct IT infrastructure and operations assessments during pre-acquisition diligence
- Develop and execute merger integration and carve-out plans
- Drive IT infrastructure improvements and cost reductions
- Implement and manage IT infrastructure during day-1 and 100-day planning
- Manage IT infrastructure during performance improvement assignments
- Provide interim IT infrastructure management services
Requirements
- Minimum 5-8 years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience, with a minimum of 5 years specializing in systems implementations, merger integration, business transformation, and change management
- Demonstrable experience in solution and enterprise architecture, IT assessment and strategy development, IT performance improvement and cost reduction, private equity advisory, IT merger integration and carve-out, business / IT transformation program/project management, collaboration and leading change, IT operations and service management, computing infrastructure design and operation, DevOps and TechOps, functional expertise in all towers of IT infrastructure and operations, modern local and wide area network strategies, end user computing enablement, communications, productivity, and collaboration tools and services, identity and access management, IT service management, disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Experience working with business leaders (Directors and above)
- Proven writing skills with the ability to produce polished client-facing documents
- Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis
- Track record of working with business leaders (Directors and above)

The salary range is $125,000 - $190,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
