About the role
The Manager, IT Infrastructure Services within Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) is responsible for delivering IT infrastructure and operations services to private equity clients and their portfolio companies. This includes pre-acquisition IT diligence, merger integration and carve-out planning, day-1 and 100-day planning, performance improvement assignments, and interim I&O management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-acquisition IT diligence, evaluating IT infrastructure supporting business systems, productivity solutions, communications, and proprietary applications.
- Develop and execute merger integration and carve-out plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Drive stand-ups, integrations, and performance improvements for IT infrastructure during the 'Day-1' and 'Day-100' phases.
- Implement cloud migrations and optimize cloud spend for clients.
- Manage IT operations and service management processes, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Lead change and communications strategies to improve key business functions such as supply chain and finance/accounting.
- Design and supervise the execution of change/communications strategies, focusing on business leaders (Directors and above).
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience, with a minimum of 5 years specializing in systems implementations, merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
- Demonstrable experience in solution and enterprise architecture, IT assessment and strategy development, IT performance improvement, and cost reduction.
- Experience in private equity advisory, IT merger integration and carve-out, business / IT transformation program/project management, and IT operations and service management.
- Strong functional expertise in compute, storage, and hosting strategies, modern local and wide area network strategies, end user computing enablement, communications, productivity, and collaboration tools, identity and access management, IT service management, and disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Proven writing skills with the ability to produce polished client-facing documents and excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
- Track record of working with business leaders (Directors and above) and previous strategy and change management experience from a top-tier strategy firm, leading specialist, niche advisory firm, or Big-4 consultancy.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Flexibility to travel up to 50% of time.

Benefits
The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $190,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. Schedule
This is a full-time position with the possibility of part-time positions available. Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits, including healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages, as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
