Manager, People Services
About the role
The Manager, People Services Expert leads and implements the human capital strategy in business units, coaches managers and above-level teammates up to executive leaders, and provides strategic HR support and guidance to the organization.
Responsibilities
- Set objectives and expectations for self and business partners, driving accountability for results.
- Create and maintain a management process for progressing work activities.
- Identify and work towards key priorities through executing the human capital strategy.
- Develop and implement retention strategies to impact patient care.
- Serve as a trusted advisor/coach to leaders, providing guidance on HR initiatives and partnering with them to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to identify and address employee development needs, including training, coaching, and performance management.
- Collaborate with leaders to identify critical roles and develop succession plans for key positions.
- Identify high potential employees and create development plans to prepare them for future leadership roles.
- Monitor and track progress of key talent actions within the business.
- Conduct regular HR data analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement, and develop appropriate action plans.
- Stay up-to-date with HR trends and best practices, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance HR processes and practices.
- Translate broader goals and objectives into measurable deliverables and achieve results.
- Lead the Davita Way by building and maintaining strong relationships with employees at all levels, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Drive accountability with partners in the Village on how to lead the DaVita Way as appropriate for their roles.
- Accountable to employee engagement scores with a clear action plan to drive results.
- Collaborate with leaders to define the need for change and identify the desired outcomes.
- Develop change management plans including communication strategies, training programs, and stakeholder engagement plans.
- Implement communication plans to effectively communicate the change to all teammates.
- Influence and communicate using strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to influence decision-making and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
- Present data, insights, and recommendations to support the why behind initiatives.
- Build commitment with stakeholders to create a shared vision and drive organizational change.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
- Current driver’s license in state of residence and insurable driving record required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on human resources experience as a human resource business partner.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as human resources manager strongly preferred; experience in large (1000+) company preferred.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
Qualifications
- Previous experience leading multi-site human capital strategy.
- Experience coaching leaders (managers and above).
- Experience identifying and committed to driving key performance indicators.
Skills
- Strong understanding of HR practices.

- Proven ability to build strong relationships.

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
Schedule
Available for moderate travel (25%-50% overnight).
