Manager Paving and Restoration
Job Summary
Responsible for consistent, efficient management of PGL Restoration workloads to meet company needs. Oversees management of Restoration team with direct supervision of department leadership and office support teams. Areas of responsibility include planning, budgeting, forecasting, execution, and close out activities. Directs a diverse group of team members that includes PGL management, consultants, and contractors to meet all departmental goals and activities. Requires the ability to influence team members and those outside the department. This position also requires dealing with State of Illinois and City of Chicago Commissioners/Inspectors/administrators and maintaining a healthy working relationship.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage Paving and Restoration Projects using Corporate Project Management tools and fundamentals. (ie: project integration, scope, time management, cost, quality, human resource management, communications, risk and procurement)
- Responsible for complying with legal requirements, construction management and financial accountability
- Assist Project Managers on large Paving and Restoration projects. Manage corrective and preventative maintenance process and determines and fulfills needs for People's Gas facilities using internal and external resources
- Provides local daily direction to employees and contractors
- Ensures business area operates at commercially competitive levels through use of Supply Chain bid process
- Responsible for financial accountability and budget input for business areas
- Provide input to and maintain corporate facility standards. Facilitate the completion of regular office assessments
- Responsible for ensuring that PGL adheres to all CDOT and IDOT restoration standards within the service territory
- Support and develop Back Office staff to handle invoicing workloads and meet target deadlines for Vendor payments.
Minimum Qualifications
- A High School Diploma, HSED, or GED
- 3+ years Project management of office projects
- 3+ years Managing a bidding process, which includes construction contracts and commercial terms, status reporting, procurement practices, industry standards, industrial business, and construction safety
- 3+ years Facilities operation experience
- 3+ years Informal Leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree is Preferred
- Working knowledge of CDOT and IDOT Regulations
- Understanding Maximo data systems

Pay Range
Pay Range Minimum: $119,696.20
Pay Range Maximum: $194,506.26
