Manager Outpatient Services
About the role
The Outpatient Services Manager oversees the management of human and material resources in the Emergency, Trauma, Emergency Preparedness, and Cardiopulmonary departments. This position fosters interdisciplinary collaborative relationships, uses critical thinking to design/implement performance improvement strategies based on data, and promotes evidence-based practice.
Responsibilities
- Provides overall direction for the practice and delivery of patient care in the Emergency, Trauma, Emergency Preparedness, and Cardiopulmonary departments.
- Oversight of management of human and material resources in accordance with hospital, state, and federal regulations (such as Joint Commission and Critical Access Hospital standards).
- Fosters interdisciplinary collaborative relationships.
- Uses critical thinking to design/implement performance improvement strategies based on data.
- Promotes evidence-based practice.
- Maintains compliance with PCA specific RN core competencies.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Special Training: Basic Life Support.
- Preferred: Masters Degree in Nursing.
- Experience: More than 3 years experience required.
Qualifications
- Licensure/Registration: Registered Nurse in Iowa.
Skills
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
