Manager or Senior Manager, Fixed Assets / Cost Segregation

About the role

We are seeking a Manager or Senior Manager in Fixed Assets / Cost Segregation to join our Accounting Methods and Credit Services practice.

Responsibilities

• Managing and performing cost segregation and fixed asset analyses for construction projects, real estate acquisitions, and renewable energy initiatives.
• Reviewing construction cost data, architectural drawings, and general ledger details to classify assets and identify tax-eligible costs.
• Conducting site visits to evaluate building components and validate cost assumptions.
• Managing client relationships, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring accurate technical documentation.
• Delivering engineering reports, depreciation analyses, and overseeing outsourcing engagements.
• Identifying process improvements and supporting business development activities.
• Additional duties for Senior Manager include leading complex engagements, mentoring team members, and driving practice growth.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years' experience in engineering, accounting, or related fields.
• A bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, asset classification, and tax depreciation principles.
• Professional credentials such as CPA, EA, or JD/LLM (with a one-year window to obtain if not held initially).
• Proficiency in Excel, data automation tools, BI software, and scripting languages.
• Additional senior-level qualifications require at least eight years of experience, leadership skills, and client management expertise.
