About the Role
This Manager Operations role is responsible for directing area utility operations in a fiscally efficient and effective manner while maintaining a safe and reliable gas distribution system.
Responsibilities
- Establish area operating budget for utility operations and manage area performance to meet budget.
- Manage area maintenance capital budget to ensure effective use of dollars while maintaining the integrity of the distribution system.
- Develop and prioritize operations goals consistent with area and divisional goals and direct the operation to meet these goals.
- Provide area leadership to encourage interdepartmental communication and cooperation in support of the company objectives.
- Develop a strong supervisory team and promote individual growth, cooperation, and development among the operating section employees.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of GOM and Emergency Plan.
- Knowledge of DOT and PUC regulations.
- Knowledge of gas distribution system operating procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience supervising and leading staff.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving history (confirmed by driver’s record check) – recent and/or multiple driving violations may disqualify a candidate from employment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred – Engineering or Business.
- 5+ years progressive experience in the pipeline industry.
- Various UGI, OSHA, ICS training and certification.
- Valid driver’s license. Must obtain PA driver’s license if current license is from another state.
- Demonstrable computer skills and/or aptitude, basic business and accounting/finance experience or education.
