About the role
GEMCORE is seeking an experienced and strategic Manager, Operational Excellence to lead process improvement activities that provide a more efficient, streamlined, and documented workflow. Ensure all internal processes, procedures, and operational systems are functioning as required for lean operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Implement Lean methodologies to drive process optimization and operational efficiency across multiple departments.
- Identify needs and inefficiencies, then assume project lead responsibilities to ensure seamless execution of initiatives, including timeline management, stakeholder coordination, and deliverable tracking.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Facilitate value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and other Lean tools to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Support senior leadership in executing operational strategies that improve key performance metrics, enhance customer value and drive long-term business growth.
- Define, collect, and analyze operational metrics to identify bottlenecks and improve operational efficiency. Recommend data-driven decisions.
- Explore the integration of new technologies, including automation and AI, to further streamline processes and increase operational agility.
- Drive the progress and impact of improvement initiatives, ensuring they deliver measurable business results.
- Develop, plan, and implement quality methods which assure all processes and services meet internal and external customer expectations.
- Support internal department's management team in establishing accountable methods of performance.
- Thoroughly examine and document operating practices through internal audits; create and/or modify SOPs. Monitor to ensure SOPs are being followed appropriately.
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of project management methodology, principles, and practices.
- ISO or Six Sigma certification preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Background in the healthcare field preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to think critically and conceptually.
- Some experience in change management.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or supply chain; or 10+ years of relevant business experience.
