Manager, Operational Excellence

About the role

The Manager, Operational Excellence will lead initiatives to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance operational capabilities. They will oversee a team of Business Excellence engineers, manage projects, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate analysis of opportunities and risks, and identify impacts and recommendations to the business
• Demonstrate leadership in setting and aligning project direction
• Directly manage a team of Business Excellence engineers, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and development planning
• Own the LSS certification pathway and capability roadmap for the team and broader engineering population
• Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations
• Able to effectively execute LSS project management process, tools and templates
• Identify and execute continuous improvement efforts to meet service, quality and cost objectives
• Support and motivate teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects
• Provide training and coaching to Sponsors and Kaizen leaders

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years business experience, minimum 5 years LSS experience
• 3+ years directly managing engineers or technical professionals
• Bachelor's degree required; preferred disciplines: Sciences, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or Business Management
• Accredited LSS Green Belt Certification required; Black Belt or PMP preferred
• Strong problem solving, analytical and conflict resolution skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Financial acumen and ability to assess project ROI
