About the role
This full-time role based in West Memphis, AR oversees daily support operations on-site, ensuring that drivers, fleet staff, and logistics teams receive timely assistance with scheduling, dispatch, issue resolution, and general operational needs. The On-site Support Manager coordinates communication between local teams and corporate functions, monitors performance metrics, and helps maintain compliance with safety and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Supervise support staff and prioritize workload.
- Troubleshoot process and system issues.
- Continuously improve on-site workflows.
- Maintain active presence and direct interaction with drivers and operations personnel.
- Focus on maintaining efficient, safe, and reliable service.
Qualifications
- Experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations, with the ability to understand terminal workflows and driver support needs.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including coaching, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution.
- Operational planning and problem-solving abilities, with experience in prioritizing tasks and handling real-time issues.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across drivers, dispatchers, and corporate teams.
- Comfort with using transportation management systems, scheduling software, and basic office productivity tools.
- Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in West Memphis, AR, with flexibility for occasional extended hours based on operational needs.
- Prior supervisory experience in a trucking or logistics environment preferred; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field.
