Work Schedule

Work Schedule: 8:00am-7:00pm Monday-Thursday; 8:00am-4:00pm Friday

Pay

This is a Full-Time Administrative position at grade 14, with an annual salary range of $54,932 to $73,243. The salary offer will be based on education and experience, in alignment with the College’s compensation philosophy and the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), if applicable.

Job Summary

The employee in this classification performs work of moderate difficulty by coordinating educational support services and activities associated with the implementation of the federal TRIO Student Support Services grants. The work is distinguished by collaborating with staff, faculty, other ECC student services departments, and the community to provide comprehensive support for students.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Three to five years working in education, social work, or related fields
  • Considerable knowledge of evidence-based practices demonstrating improvement in college outcomes for disadvantaged youth
  • Considerable knowledge of the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) for grants
  • Considerable knowledge of the TRIO grant application, award, and annual reporting processes
  • Good knowledge of Multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) used by secondary schools
  • Good knowledge of post-high school pathways for students, including educational/training requirements and career paths
  • Good knowledge of academic, career, transfer, and financial aid advising
  • Good knowledge of cultural and generational differences
  • Considerable skill in collaborating with partners to effectively implement programming
  • Considerable skill in problem-solving and decision-making regarding issues related to the scope of position
  • Considerable skill in budget management
  • Considerable skill in all forms of communication
  • Considerable skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications
  • Considerable skill to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Considerable skill in analyzing problems and developing creative and innovative solutions
  • Considerable analytical skills to synthesize data, identify patterns, and use evidence to inform actions

Essential Duties

  • Provide guidance and support to assigned students, maintain student documentation, refer students to necessary internal and external support resources, and monitor participant academic progress
  • Hire, train, supervise and evaluate assigned program staff
  • Manage implementation of support service activities for the grant program, including develop annual program calendar, planning and implementing events/services, and maintaining written procedures
  • Cookordinate and implement service delivery for the grant program, including student intake and assigning students to Coordinators for support
  • Maintain quality control processes to ensure accurate data collection and record keeping
  • Aid with data collection and evaluation of program activities
  • Aid with proposal writing and annual reports
  • Maintain confidentiality of privileged information and adhere to applicable privacy laws
  • Demonstrate sensitivity, understanding, and respect of diverse populations within the workplace
  • Maintain an understanding of the work of colleagues to effectively provide backup and/or support for co-workers during times when the division is short-staffed or experiencing an increased volume of work
  • Adhere to department guidelines for attendance and punctuality
  • Demonstrate independent judgement and discretion in making position related decisions
  • May need to be available to respond to after-hours emergency calls on a rotating basis
