Manager of Talent Acquisition
About the role
The Manager of Talent Acquisition will design and implement networking and sourcing strategies to create a pipeline of talent and will provide full life cycle recruiting when needed. They will manage, coach, and develop the Talent Acquisition team as well as drive progress to improve the overall function of talent acquisition at Advia.
This role is accountable for contributing at a strategic level with other Human Resource managers to develop retention strategies and succession planning to promote long term tenure with Advia.

Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides guidance, aid, advocacy, motivation, development, and vision to a high performing team of experienced Talent Acquisition Partners, while maintaining recruitment activity for high level positions.
- Manages direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of the company, including monitoring team performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies, and work rules.
- Ensures appropriate workload balance for direct reports.
- Appraises performance and provides recommendations for promotion, disciplinary action, and termination, as appropriate.
- Provides strategic vision by creating and communicating vivid pictures of future possibilities, opportunities, and direction of the future. This includes reporting on key metrics to support strategic initiatives.
- Develops, cultivates, and manages relationships with Hiring Managers, Directors, VPs, and Chief Officers to provide service excellence.
- Safeguards Advia’s employer brand with recruitment marketing, brand visibility, social media campaigns, employee referral programs, etc.
- Ownership for growing and promoting ideas to proactively recruit and engage with passive candidates to increase the talent pipeline.
- Evaluates recruiting related processes, implementing and managing change and process improvements or efficiencies.
- Verifies applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; evaluating responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Intently sources qualified candidates to contribute to candidate pools by headhunting, researching, and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
- Promotes Advia’s employer brand with recruitment marketing, brand visibility, social media campaigns, employee referral programs, etc.
Requirements
- Experience: Five years to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
- Education/Certifications/Licenses: A college degree.
Physical Requirements
- Able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
- Capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
- Able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.
- Able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
- Able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
- Able to work regularly, reliably, and timely.
Mental And/or Emotional Requirements
- Able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.
- Able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions.
- Able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics.
- Able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence.
- Able to deal calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public.
