MANAGER OF RELATIONSHIPS AND IMPACTFUL RESOURCE MOBILIZATION

About the role
The Manager of Relationships and Impactful Resource Mobilization leads and implements fundraising strategies to grow and diversify Caritas Moldova’s funding sources. This includes donor engagement, grant writing, campaigns, and events. In alignment with Caritas Moldova’s Strategy 2030, which prioritizes a stable, predictable, and sustainable funding system, the role directly contributes to the organization’s long-term financial sustainability and impact. This position is pivotal to ensuring financial sustainability and program growth.
Responsibilities
- Donor Engagement & Stewardship: Identify and build relationships with individual, corporate, and institutional donors. Develop tailored stewardship strategies to retain and upgrade donor contributions. Organize and support donor recognition activities and communication efforts (e.g., newsletters, impact stories).
- Proposal Development & Grant Management: Lead the identification of relevant grant opportunities. Write high-quality, tailored grant proposals in collaboration with technical teams. Ensure compliance with donor regulations and timely submission of reports. Maintain an active calendar of funding opportunities and deadlines.
- Campaigns, Appeals & Events: Design and execute fundraising campaigns (both online and offline). Lead the planning and implementation of events, including galas, charity runs, and auctions. Collaborate with communications and logistics staff to ensure professional event delivery.
- Fundraising Strategy & Reporting: Develop annual fundraising plans aligned with the strategic objectives of Caritas Moldova. Monitor KPIs related to fundraising performance, donor engagement, and campaign ROI. Prepare periodic reports and presentations for senior management and donors.
- Cross-Department Collaboration & Advocacy: Work closely with program, finance, and communications teams to align fundraising with programmatic needs. Promote fundraising efforts through public representation at events, media appearances, and networking opportunities. Support the creation of compelling stories and materials that illustrate the impact of Caritas Moldova’s work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, or business development.
- Experience with CRM systems and digital fundraising tools.
- Experience in grant writing with a proven track record of successful applications.
- Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills.
- Knowledge of the philanthropic and donor landscape in Moldova.
- Background working in faith-based or humanitarian organizations.
- Fluency in Romanian and English (written and verbal) is required; knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is an advantage.
- Up to 30% travel within Moldova for events, donor visits, and partner engagement.
