Manager of Quality Engineering - Millennium Space Systems

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Quality Engineers, developing and growing the organization to support the dynamic needs of the business
• Support day-to-day operations by assigning and delegating work across the team
• Drive solutions to the biggest operational problems by leading root cause and corrective action investigations
• Own resolution of Discrepancy Reports in operational areas, including suppliers
• Partner closely with manufacturing, integration, supply chain, engineering, and program teams to promote safe, efficient, and reliable operational success
• Develop and enforce quality requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle
• Lead key Quality Management System activities, inclusive of internal audits, calibration management, nonconformance management, etc.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree
• Working knowledge of a variety of design, fabrication, integration, and testing methodologies
• Intermediate knowledge of AS9100 quality standards
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required; interim and/or final Secret Clearance post-start required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid understanding of multiple root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
• 1+ years of experience in a leadership position with direct reports
• Experience in the aerospace industry
• Experience performing and applying statistical analysis methodologies
• Familiarity with PCBA manufacturing, electromechanical assembly, propulsion production, structures fabrication, and vehicle integration and test
