About the role

The Manager, Digital Quality Assurance is responsible for leading quality assurance activities across Financial Life's digital applications, member portal, websites, integrations, and customer-facing technology solutions. This role establishes testing strategies, quality standards, and best practices to ensure digital products are reliable, secure, accessible, and aligned with business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality assurance efforts across digital applications, websites, member portals, APIs, integrations, and related technology solutions.
  • Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, test cases, and testing standards.
  • Establish QA best practices, processes, and documentation standards.
  • Determine testing approaches based on business requirements, complexity, and risk.
  • Monitor and report quality metrics, testing progress, and release readiness.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate, and execute functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Validate digital solutions across supported browsers, devices, and environments.
  • Verify data movement and integrations between digital platforms and internal systems.
  • Support testing of new functionality, enhancements, upgrades, and production fixes.
  • Validate customer-facing applications and member portals for accessibility compliance, including ADA and WCAG standards.
  • Partner with Business Systems Analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and develop effective testing scenarios.
  • Participate in requirements and design reviews to identify quality risks early in the development process.
  • Ensure requirements are testable and acceptance criteria are clearly defined.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, and issue resolution.
  • Provide QA input during project planning, estimation, prioritization, and release discussions.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot issues and validate resolutions.
  • Perform defect retesting and regression testing following application changes.
  • Monitor defect trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Provide quality assessments and recommendations regarding production releases.
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency through automation and reusable testing assets.
  • Partner with development teams to expand automated testing capabilities.
  • Evaluate and recommend testing tools, processes, and methodologies that improve quality and efficiency.
  • Continuously improve QA processes based on metrics, lessons learned, and industry best practices.
  • Mentor, guide, and support QA analysts, project teams, and business testers.
  • Cook up coordination of testing efforts across multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and technology partners.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for digital quality assurance and testing practices.
  • Ensure testing activities appropriately address security, privacy, accessibility, and data integrity requirements.
  • Support testing related to regulatory and compliance requirements when applicable.
  • Adhere to and support Enterprise Risk Management Framework and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5-7 years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or a related technology discipline.
  • Experience testing web-based and customer-facing digital applications.
  • Experience developing test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and testing documentation.
  • Experience with defect management and issue tracking processes.
  • Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid development environments.
  • Experience performing accessibility testing, including ADA compliance and WCAG standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A reasonable estimate of the Base Salary for this role is $140,000 - $145,000 per year.
