Manager of Production Operations

Robert Half is seeking an experienced technology leader to oversee a critical production application support organization responsible for maintaining highly visible, customer-facing systems and services in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team responsible for supporting and maintaining customer-facing production applications and related technology services.
• Establish clear operational processes, performance expectations, and service delivery standards.
• Drive incident management activities, including major incident response, root cause analysis, problem management, and continuous service improvement.
• Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of critical applications that directly impact the customer experience.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to prioritize support initiatives and service enhancements.
• Champion a customer-first mindset across technology operations and production support functions.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, process optimization, and modern support practices.
• Support DevOps, cloud, and operational transformation initiatives that improve reliability and accelerate service delivery.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members while fostering accountability, engagement, and professional growth.
• Lead organizational change efforts, helping teams embrace new processes, technologies, and ways of working.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Proven success leading technology teams in application support, infrastructure operations, production services, or related IT functions.
• Strong leadership, people management, and team development experience.
• Deep understanding of supporting and maintaining mission-critical production applications.
• Experience managing incident response processes, service restoration activities, and operational escalations.
• Demonstrated ability to improve team performance, establish structure, and drive operational maturity.
• Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering exceptional end-user experiences.
• Experience implementing or leveraging automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
• Results-oriented leadership style with the confidence to challenge the status quo while earning team trust and support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background supporting enterprise applications in complex operational environments.
• Experience with DevOps practices, cloud platforms, site reliability, or modern application operations.
• Knowledge of ITIL, service management, problem management, or operational excellence frameworks.
• Experience working in regulated industries.
