About The Role

A mission-focused nonprofit organization with statewide reach is adding a Procurement Manager to its team. This newly created position will play a key role in developing and strengthening the organization's procurement and contract administration capabilities. The Procurement Manager will have significant ownership in establishing effective procurement practices and ensuring purchasing and contracting activities properly support grant-funded programs and community initiatives. This position is well suited for a Procurement Manager who wants to make an organizational impact and help build a more sophisticated procurement function rather than simply manage day-to-day purchasing transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement and contract administration processes from solicitation through vendor selection, including evaluations and negotiations
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with federal requirements, including Uniform Guidance under 2 CFR Part 200, applicable state regulations, and internal organizational policies
  • Oversee contracts throughout their entire lifecycle, including amendments, renewals, monitoring, required documentation, and close-out
  • Collaborate with Finance and Grants teams to ensure procurement activities align with approved budgets, grant requirements, and audit standards
  • Create and implement procurement procedures, tools, templates, training materials, and organization-wide guidance
  • Support consistent and compliant procurement practices across departments and programs
  • Maintain appropriate procurement and contract documentation to support transparency, accountability, and audit readiness

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Five or more years of experience in federal procurement and contract administration
  • Demonstrated experience working with and ensuring compliance with Uniform Guidance requirements
  • Proven ability to manage contracts, procurement documentation, audits, and cross-functional relationships
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with Finance, Legal, Grants, and Program stakeholders
