About the role
The Manager of Preconstruction oversees all aspects of the preconstruction phase of construction projects, ensuring that all necessary plans, permits, and contracts are in place before construction begins.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and execution of preconstruction plans and strategies
- Manage the procurement of materials and equipment needed for construction projects
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success
- Prepare and present project proposals to clients
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in preconstruction management
- Strong knowledge of construction industry practices and standards
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Proven track record of successful project management
- Experience with contract negotiations and dispute resolution
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Construction management software proficiency (e.g., Procore, ArchiCAD)
- Project management tools (e.g., Gantt charts, project timelines)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage budgets and cost estimates

$80,000 - $100,000 annually
