Manager of Outpatient Therapy Services - FT | San Antonio Med Center Rehab

We are looking for a Manager of Outpatient Therapy Services to join our team and care for our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. About the role

The Manager of Outpatient Therapy Services is responsible for therapy department management, delivery, and coordination of services provided in an age-appropriate manner, consistent with the principles and practices of applicable therapy practice acts of the state where the hospital resides, the professional code of ethics, and the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health. This role includes department/administrative responsibilities, direct patient care for the population served in the inpatient outpatient therapy setting(s), and other related duties as assigned or requested.

Responsibilities

• Manage therapy department operations and service delivery
• Coordinate services in an age-appropriate manner
• Ensure compliance with state therapy practice acts, professional code of ethics, and PAM Health policies
• Provide direct patient care in inpatient and outpatient therapy settings
• Supervise personnel and optimize team performance
• Develop positive working relationships with peers, management, and staff
• Communicate effectively with patients and family members to establish cooperation
• Analyze and solve client rehabilitation needs
• Develop and execute programs for maximal results
• Utilize current research to support evidence-based practice
• Provide leadership and direction for optimal team functioning
• Modify work style to meet patient and hospital/clinic needs

Requirements

• Current license as PT, OTR, SLP, PTA, or OTA in the state where the hospital resides
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical/patient care experience
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Numerical ability to understand statistical and clerical data
• Ability to foresee future problems or outcomes
• Patience for client contact and ability to stimulate desirable emotions
• Ability to work and reason independently, logically, and impartially
• Openness to advice, constructive criticism, and modifying work style
• Willingness to assume more responsibility
