Responsibilities

  • Organizes and directs marketing, internal and external communications, community relations, media relations, digital media strategy, and advertising to develop and build consumer preference and demand.
  • Ensures the quality and effectiveness of marketing and PR efforts in accordance with hospital policies and administrative guidelines, supporting business development.
  • Responds to media and other requests for information and leads community relations programs to drive appropriate volume to the hospitals.
  • Collaborates on the development, implementation, monitoring, and updating of the strategic communications marketing plan.
  • Works collaboratively with business development and other stakeholders, including senior executives, physicians, and board members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in public relations, marketing, advertising, or communications, including 3+ years in the healthcare field.
  • At least 3 years of managerial experience with demonstrated success in increasing business.
  • Experience with creative software, internet applications, and social media.
  • Knowledge of marketing practices, research, and statistical computations to implement marketing communications strategies.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills, with excellent oral and written communication abilities.

Pay

Mercy Medical Center offers a reasonable compensation estimate for this role of $85,280.00 to $114,608.00, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
