Manager of IT Security (Remote)

About the Opportunity:The MANAGER OF IT SECURITY leads a team responsible for protecting the organization's systems through vulnerability management, incident detection and response, and identity and access management. This role shapes the security strategy, partners across the business to mitigate risks, and develops a lasting security program to support the organization's growth. It requires effective leadership in a remote, distributed work environment. Responsibilities:Lead, coach, and develop a team of security engineers and analysts.Oversee daily security operations including vulnerability management, incident response, and access management.Drive execution of multi-year security initiatives and adapt to changing priorities.Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and governance.Evaluate and implement security technologies and controls, ensuring continuous improvement.Identify root causes of technical and operational issues and lead long-term solutions. Requirements:Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in information security across multiple domains.At least 2 years leading security professionals including hiring and performance management.Experience securing on-premises and cloud environments with understanding of cloud networking.Ability to communicate security risks effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience contributing to security roadmaps, policies, or programs in growing organizations.Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, CISSP or equivalent certification, and more extensive experience in security and management. Pay Range and Compensation Package:New hires are typically offered a salary between $123,000 and $185,000 based on experience and skillset.Bonus eligible.
