Job Summary
The South Carolina Stingrays are seeking a dynamic, highly creative, and experienced Manager of Game Operations & Presentation. This role is the "producer" of the fan experience, responsible for directing all aspects of the game day script, live in-arena entertainment, and broadcast production.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary producer and director for all home games, orchestrating the live "show" from the control room.
- Develop, write, and distribute detailed game scripts, timing sheets, and run-of-show documents for game-night staff, public address announcers, hosts, mascots, and control room crew.
- Conceptualize and execute innovative theme nights, intermission games, and fan-activation elements that maximize crowd energy.
- Maintain strict compliance with league rules and timing regulations regarding game protocol.
- Oversee the technical setup, maintenance, and execution of the in-arena control room and broadcast streaming infrastructure (including NDI systems, switchers, and replay equipment).
- Direct and program in-game sports technology, such as Daktronics Show Control/ video board graphics systems.
- Manage, recruit, train, and schedule a dedicated part-time game-night production crew (camera operators, replay technicians, audio engineers, and promotional staff).
- Collaborate closely with the corporate partnerships department to seamlessly integrate sponsor inventory, live promotions, and digital assets into the game presentation.
- Ensure 100% execution of contracted partner elements while maintaining the creative integrity and flow of the fan entertainment experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional sports game presentation, live video production, or broadcast control room experience (hockey or arena sports experience preferred).
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop). Proven experience operating live production equipment, video switchers, NDI routing, filming, and matrix screen systems (e.g., Daktronics Show Control).
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and direct a diverse team of full-time and part-time gameday staff in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Communication: Exceptional organizational, communication, and script-writing skills with a sharp attention to detail.
- Schedule: Must have a flexible schedule, including the ability to work non-traditional hours, nights, weekends, and holidays to cover all home games and special team events.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods in an arena environment, and lift/carry production equipment up to 40 lbs.
