About the role

We're seeking a Manager of Enterprise Applications to lead the strategy, governance, support, and continuous improvement of our firm's portfolio of enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees business-critical platforms, including document and records management, financial management, HR systems, CRM platforms, practice management, collaboration tools, knowledge management systems, and other enterprise applications.
  • Provides strategic leadership and oversight for the firm's portfolio of enterprise applications.
  • Develops and maintains a multi-year roadmap for enterprise systems aligned with business objectives.
  • Led the evaluation, selection, implementation, support, modernization, and retirement of enterprise applications.
  • Pairs with business leaders to improve business processes, system utilization, and user experience.
  • Establishes governance practices including lifecycle management, change management, licensing oversight, and performance monitoring.
  • Oversees day-to-day support, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, patching, and documentation, assisting where needed.
  • Ensures application availability, reliability, security, and capacity planning meet organizational requirements.
  • Oversees application integrations, APIs, and enterprise data flows.
  • Evaluates and recommends upgrades, replacements, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
  • Manages enterprise application projects, including scope definition, planning, timelines, resources, risks, communication, execution, and post-implementation follow-up.
  • Works closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and firm leadership to drive alignment, resolve issues, manage expectations, and ensure projects deliver successful outcomes.
  • Supports cloud adoption strategies and digital transformation efforts.
  • Manages vendors, consultants, contracts, licensing, and service level agreements.
  • Manages disaster recovery, business continuity, and cybersecurity initiatives impacting enterprise applications.
  • Affords assistance with special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience supporting enterprise applications and business systems. Law firm or professional services experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, databases, integrations, APIs, identity management, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience leading application implementations, upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects and coordinate effectively with stakeholders to achieve adoption, accountability, and successful delivery.
  • Experience with SaaS platforms, cloud technologies, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong vendor management, licensing, and contract administration experience.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity, and business continuity principles.
  • Experience with ITIL or similar service management frameworks preferred.
  • Experience supporting NetDocuments, Elite 3E, Intapp, and related legal applications.
  • Experience managing enterprise integrations between legal, financial, records and business development systems.
  • Experience supporting enterprise modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
