Responsibilities

  • Provide management and leadership to effectively lead, support, coordinate and manage construction and remodel projects of varying complexity.
  • Take projects from design through completion, offering advice and assistance to all staff and management levels to facilitate resource planning and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Determine support, direction, and strategies necessary to solve significant problems related to successful project completion.
  • Provide regular schedule and budget updates indicating project performance.
  • Prepare and review project work plans, scope, schedule, and budget; communicate these to project team members.
  • Monitor and manage project production for compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Direct project team and client compliance with contract terms; monitor subcontractors’ compliance with contractual commitments.
  • Participate in project evaluation, consultant selection, and preparation of qualification/experience statements.
  • Supervise technical professionals, associate project managers, and design staff, including workload and staffing management.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of the total project, conduct initial analysis of specifications and drawings, and attend/organize pre‑construction and kick‑off meetings.
  • Solicit vendor and subcontractor pricing, obtain building permit quotes, and coordinate multi‑disciplinary pricing.
  • Coordinate estimates of cost and man‑hours, benchmark material, and adhere to budgets.
  • Complete objectives according to schedule and manage cost in accordance with budget.
  • Handle multiple projects with various priorities simultaneously.
  • Create ICRA/PRCA documents in collaboration with the hospital Infection Prevention team, Facilities Management, and Emergency Management.
  • Manage daily activities of contractors and sub‑contractors and the regulatory documentation related to Infection Prevention and Interim Life Safety Measures for multiple construction projects.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly ILSM training in coordination with the facility Safety Manager to ensure safety of patients, staff, visitors, and the building.
  • Manage and coordinate shutdown and connections of utility systems throughout the facility during all phases of construction, ensuring due diligence for patient‑environment safety.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Five years of experience in a maintenance‑related or construction field.
  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
