Manager of Commercial Banking

About the role

Join First Citizens Bank as a Manager of Commercial Banking and contribute to our 120+ year tradition of developing and expanding complex commercial relationships in the Wisconsin market. This leadership role manages a team of Commercial and/or Business Bankers to maximize business development efforts and positively impact profitability.

Responsibilities

• Actively lead and manage team performance, ensuring operational soundness while executing a plan to deliver results that create value for customers and meet the bank’s financial goals.
• Utilize leadership skills to drive accountability and expectations, actively participating in calling efforts with the team and representing the bank in the community.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to accomplish short-term and long-term financial objectives aligned with executive strategic direction, supporting diverse lending initiatives.
• Partner with the credit team to maintain strong credit quality and effective deal processing.
• Maintain productive working relationships with Business/Commercial Services partners and other corporate divisions to manage the total financial services relationship for customers and prospects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of commercial or business lending, credit, business development, or financial services management, or a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 14 years of equivalent experience.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Proficiency in structured sales processes, sales planning, forecasting, credit underwriting, business development, networking, and building centers of influence.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience leading a high-performing business or commercial banking sales team.
