Vaco is hiring a Manager of Cash & Accounts ReceivableLocation: Charleston, South CarolinaCompensation Range: $130-$160 We are seeking an experienced Manager of Cash & Accounts Receivable to join a large, complex healthcare organization. This position reports to the Assets Director and is responsible for overseeing cash and accounts receivable accounting across multiple entities.The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting foundation, healthcare industry experience, and the ability to manage complex financial activity while leading and supporting a team. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee accounting activities related to Cash and Accounts Receivable (AR) across multiple entitiesEnsure the accurate documentation, tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of cash, checks, and investmentsManage monthly and fiscal year-end cash and AR accounting activitiesPerform analysis and review of patient and pharmacy accounts receivableEnsure financial information is accurate, complete, and properly supportedReview account activity, identify discrepancies, and resolve accounting issuesSupport monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting and close processesManage multiple priorities and deadlines within a large, complex healthcare environmentProvide guidance and oversight to accounting staffPartner with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve accounting and reporting mattersAssist with process improvements and strengthen controls surrounding cash and AR activityQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field with a strong accounting curriculum4-7+ years of related professional accounting experienceCandidates with a related degree should have 6+ years of progressively responsible accounting and financial reporting experience within the healthcare industryStrong understanding of cash accounting, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reportingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage a high volume of work while meeting strict deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelAbility to effectively lead, guide, and manage staffPreferredMaster's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field6+ years of accounting experience within a large, complex hospital or healthcare systemPrevious supervisory or management experienceCPA, CMA, or CHFP certificationExperience with Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, and Adobe AcrobatIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader who understands the complexities of cash and accounts receivable within a healthcare environment. You should be comfortable digging into the details, analyzing large volumes of financial data, managing competing deadlines, and providing leadership to your team while maintaining accuracy and strong financial controls.
