About the role
The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates (The League) is seeking a full-time Manager of Advocacy Engagement to join our Advocacy team. The role plays a key role in advancing the credit union movement by educating and engaging credit unions on the importance of political and grassroots advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with advocacy events and activities, coordinating calls to action and mobilization efforts across the footprint.
- Preparing and delivering presentations to member credit unions that emphasize legislative priorities, the importance of grassroots advocacy, and the value of electing future decision-makers.
- Supporting opportunities to increase grassroots development that engages credit unions with lawmakers.
- Maintaining the grassroots and fundraising database to ensure data is accurate and updated.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with credit unions across The League's footprint.
- Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Political Science, Communications, or a related field required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in communications, public relations, advocacy, credit union advocacy, government affairs, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook, as well as Adobe products.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and drive projects from initiation through completion.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to effectively communicate information to groups and stakeholders.

Pay
Estimated annual salary: $82,727
Schedule
This role requires regular travel throughout The League's footprint in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia to support advocacy initiatives, member engagement, and industry events. Overnight travel is required, a valid driver's license is needed, and reliable personal transportation is preferred.
