Manager of Advocacy Engagement
About the role
The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates (The League) seeks a full-time Manager of Advocacy Engagement to join our Advocacy team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, the ability to manage complex projects, and a passion for advocating for the credit union movement.
Responsibilities
- Affiliate advocacy events and activities
- Coordinate calls to action and mobilization efforts across the footprint
- Prepare and deliver presentations to member credit unions
- Support opportunities to increase grassroots development
- Manage donor acknowledgement strategy
- Support accurate tracking of PAC contributions
- Maintain the grassroots and fundraising database
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with credit unions
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Political Science, Communications, or a related field required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in communications, public relations, advocacy, credit union advocacy, government affairs, or a related field. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook, as well as Adobe products. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and drive projects from initiation through completion. Excellent presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to effectively communicate information to groups and stakeholders.

Schedule
Regularly travel throughout The League's footprint in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia to support advocacy initiatives, member engagement, and industry events. Overnight travel, a valid driver's license, and reliable personal transportation are required.
