Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership & Nursing Practice Excellence: Provide leadership in assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered outcomes aligned with professional standards and Munson Healthcare values.
- Quality, Safety & Outcomes Management: Lead continuous quality improvement efforts, promote a culture of safety, evaluate nursing care effectiveness, and use evidence‑based practice, data, and nursing‑sensitive indicators to improve patient outcomes.
- Operational & Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Direct patient care delivery, integrate policies, regulations, and clinical guidelines, and foster strong interdisciplinary collaboration to support coordinated, efficient care across populations served.
- Staff Leadership, Performance & Development: Recruit, orient, mentor, evaluate, and support nursing staff through shared governance, fair performance management, corrective action when needed, and ongoing professional growth and education.
- Professional Growth & Collegial Culture: Maintain management competencies, engage in continuous learning and professional organizations, model collegial relationships, effective communication, and uphold Munson’s mission‑driven culture.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
- BSN is required; MSN or MBA in a health-related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an ambulatory/acute care setting.
- Demonstrated administrative and supervisory ability.
- Preferred: Progressively increasing leadership responsibility including managerial/supervisory experience.
- Preferred: Cardiology clinical experience highly preferred.
Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
