About the role
The ICU Nursing Manager at CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy leads and empowers the nursing team to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care through continuous growth and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring Registered Nurses
- Overseeing clinical operations
- Advocating for patient and team needs
- Driving professional development and achieving unit goals
- Has the authority to interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train and conduct performance evaluations
- Allocates and directs staffing needs to meet patient, unit and Hospital needs
- Manages performance including: goal-setting, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback, recognizing, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to work and our Commitments using corrective action
- Maintains oversight of customer and patient engagement, growth, quality initiatives and patient safety for multiple departments
- Coordinates and manages operating systems, operational standardization, service standards and communication methods in line with system policies and processes
Requirements

- Bachelor's of Nursing and minimum of 3 years leadership experience
- NE Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support - CPR
