Manager Nursing

About the Role

As our Nursing Manager for our Spine Hospital, you will be a dynamic leader, guiding and empowering our nursing team to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care through continuous growth and operational excellence. You will lead and mentor Registered Nurses, oversee clinical operations, and advocate for patient and team needs, driving professional development and achieving unit goals. You will embody accountability and confidence with superior communication skills for all interactions, skillfully navigating challenges to ensure individual performance and overall unit success.

You will have the authority to interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train, and conduct performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the functional and technical job performance of team members.
• Allocate and direct staffing needs to meet patient, unit, and hospital needs, collaborating with others to ensure overall staffing requirements are met.
• Manage performance, including goal-setting, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback, recognizing and developing skills, and addressing performance issues related to work and organizational commitments using corrective action.
• Monitor and oversee customer and patient engagement, growth, quality initiatives, and patient safety for multiple departments, utilizing regulatory and organizational knowledge and policy.
• Coordinate and manage operating systems, operational standardization, service standards, and communication methods in line with system policies and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience.
• Active RN license in the state of Nebraska.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Master’s degree.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive work experience, with at least two (2) years of management experience in an inpatient/outpatient nursing environment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months of hire.

Pay

$47.29 - $70.35 per hour.
