About the role
The Nursing Manager for Richard Young Inpatient Behavioral at CHI Health Good Samaritan will lead and mentor Registered Nurses and staff, overseeing clinical operations and advocating for patient and team needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Registered Nurses and staff
- Oversee clinical operations
- Advocate for patient and team needs
- Drive professional development and achieve unit goals
- Has the authority to interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train and conduct performance evaluations
- Oversees the functional and technical job performance of team members
- Allocates and directs staffing needs to meet patient, unit and Hospital needs
- Manages performance including: goal-setting, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback, recognizing, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to work and our Commitments using corrective action
- Maintains customer and patient engagement, growth, quality initiatives and patient safety for multiple departments
- Coordinates and manages operating systems, operational standardization, service standards and communication methods in line with system policies and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum Three (3) years leadership experience and minimum of Five (5) years leadership experience in the discipline
- Active RN license in the state of NE
- Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred
- Masters Degree
- Minimum of Five (5) years of progressive work experience, with at least two (2) years of leadership experience in an inpatient/outpatient nursing environment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support from the American Heart Association (AHA)
