Manager - Non-Production Material
Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Americas Non-Production Materials (NPM) purchasing team.
Drive sourcing strategies across logistics, capital equipment, MRO, IT, services, and other indirect spend categories.
Partner with plant leaders, buyers, and category managers to achieve cost savings and operational goals.
Champion continuous improvement and standardization of procurement processes across the Americas and global regions.
Lead digitalization initiatives to enhance purchasing efficiency, visibility, and performance.
Ensure compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements through effective process governance and training.
Foster collaboration between local and global procurement teams, suppliers, and key business stakeholders.
Improve ERP and supplier data quality to support analytics, reporting, and informed decision-making.
Manage day-to-day procurement activities with a focus on logistics and capital investments, including assembly equipment, presses, and manufacturing machinery.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of procurement experience in automotive or manufacturing, including regional or global responsibility.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Hands-on leader who balances strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- SAP/ERP proficiency and strong analytical skills to drive data-based decisions and supplier performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working across multiple countries, plants, suppliers, and customers within a global organization.
- Expertise in indirect procurement categories, including capital equipment, logistics, MRO, IT, and services.
- Proven success delivering cost savings, leading sourcing initiatives, and improving procurement processes.
