Hybrid$100k–$130k/yrFull-time

About the role

SimpliSafe is a high-tech home security company dedicated to protecting homes and communities. Our culture fosters collaboration, innovation, and growth. We operate a hybrid work model, encouraging in-person collaboration on core days while allowing flexible remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6–8 Compliance Specialists across licensing, permitting, and monitoring data entry functions.
  • Integrate three previously separate teams into a unified compliance function, identifying redundancies, building shared workflows, and establishing consistent standards and accountability.
  • Own and continuously improve end-to-end compliance processes, focusing on simplifying operations, reducing manual effort, and increasing accuracy and throughput.
  • Proactively identify and evaluate opportunities to apply AI-enabled workflows and automation to compliance operations, partnering with internal teams to pilot and implement solutions.
  • Define, track, and report on key compliance metrics; surface insights and recommendations to leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with jurisdictions, state licensing agencies, and industry groups related to alarm permitting, registration compliance, and false alarm reduction.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Monitoring Operations, Vendor Management, People, and other teams to align compliance processes with broader business goals.
  • Contribute to and execute on the long-term compliance strategy, balancing short-term operational needs with longer-term transformation goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of operations or compliance management experience, with 3+ years directly managing teams of specialists or coordinators.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives — identifying inefficiencies, designing solutions, and driving adoption across a team.
  • Experience managing regulatory, compliance, licensing, or permitting operations is strongly preferred.
  • Comfort working with data and metrics to evaluate performance, identify trends, and inform decisions.
  • Curiosity and openness toward AI and workflow automation tools; prior experience piloting or implementing such solutions is a plus.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, including experience working with external agencies, regulators, or industry stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications
