Manager, Merchandise Execution

About the role

The Manager, Style Merchandise Execution leads a team in ensuring merchandise is presented attractively across all Macy's stores. They oversee all merchandising activities, from product movement and price changes to signage and visual execution, fostering an environment of creativity and inclusivity.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and profits through effective merchandising
• Implement optimal merchandise execution standards
• Communicate, execute, and train visual merchandising directives
• Create stunning store displays using various resources
• Strategize on pricing, signage, visual presentation, events, and merchandising
• Support Own Your Style fixtures and fashion trends
• Cultivate DEI initiatives through mannequin and trend presentations
• Document work with photos to create visual resources
• Train Manager of Sales & Customer Service on merchandising execution standards
• Interview, hire, train, manage, coach, develop, coordinate, evaluate, and discipline direct and indirect reports
• Manage inventory, including receipt flow, placement, and stockroom organization
• Work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of management experience in retail
• Heavy lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching required
• Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30 lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment required
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
