Manager, Memory Care, LPN or RN Required

About the role

In this position, you will play a key role in recruitment, staffing, and resident care within a senior living community focused on compassionate, resident-centered dementia care.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, train, supervise, and staff team members.
• Implement resident-centered dementia care programs.
• Provide nursing care to residents, including:
  • Completion of health assessments and resident care plans.
  • Discussing changes in resident condition with physicians.
  • Introducing interventions to reduce falls based on individual resident needs.
  • Medication administration and assistance with resident care as needed.
• Coordinate the resident admission process, including screening, assessment, and care planning, in conjunction with the community’s multidisciplinary team.
• Occasionally fill in on weekends as Manager-On-Duty.

Requirements

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Candidates with caregiver certifications beneficial to the community plus management experience may be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Gerontology preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of management experience in directing/providing dementia care for seniors preferred.
• Strong background in patient care assessment, evaluating resident behavioral symptoms, and developing non-pharmacologic approaches to meeting resident needs.
• Experience in community or long-term care settings.
• Must meet all state requirements.

Schedule

Sunday – Thursday, with occasional weekend shifts as Manager-On-Duty.
