About the Role

The Manager MEDITECH HCA Professional Services will leverage experience, creativity, and training to assist clients and departments with strategic business development and drive strategic planning for projects specific to HCA initiatives. This position requires the ability to work in a collaborative, unstructured environment and provide oversight for multiple advanced and complex projects, managing teams of 8-10 employees. The role involves helping clients execute their strategies and improve business operations.

A master practitioner within their field, the candidate must have expertise with MEDITECH Magic, C/S, and 6x/Expanse platforms, along with a LAB/LIS background.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive oversight and project management for MEDITECH implementations across Magic, C/S, and 6x/Expanse platforms.
  • Assess project scope, deliverables, and level of effort; identify project requirements and develop statements of work.
  • Strategically resource needs for advanced and complex projects.
  • Coordinate, delegate, and provide project oversight for multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Lead teams during project planning, workflow assessment, build progress, testing, go-live activities, support, and optimization.
  • Manage resource utilization, project assignments, task prioritization, and resource allocation to meet deadlines.
  • Engage in issue and risk management, project plan management, conversion management, integrated applications, and status reporting.
  • Drive process improvement and culture change based on client feedback and leadership approval.
  • Advise clients on optimal workflows and system functions, documenting and presenting client-facing materials.
  • Oversee a wide array of client deliverables, including requirements documentation, functional design documents, status reports, client presentations, implementation toolkits, and user guides.
  • Engage with interdepartmental resources to meet client strategic requirements.
  • Develop internal and external training, as well as knowledge-sharing content for peer mentoring.
  • Prioritize tasks and assist peers with task identification and documentation.
  • Incorporate lessons learned into department practice and methodology, including process improvement.
  • Conduct career planning, training, mentoring, staff development, and regular performance reviews.
  • Manage clinical sourcing of contractors (Temp W2s), including screening, interviewing, placement, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Maintain consistent management and interfacing with HCA client relationships (ITG/PSG/BPG/COG).
  • Approve timesheets, expense reports, and other staff-supporting duties.
  • Conduct staff meetings, present monthly operational reviews for executive leadership, and engage in 1:1 meetings with full-time employees and Temp W2s.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate programs for recruitment, retention, and continuing education of staff.
  • Monitor own work and the work of others for accuracy and thoroughness; mentor others on documentation accuracy.
  • Share knowledge within project teams and with clients to drive process change.
  • Act as a solution leader to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Work within budgetary goals for multiple lines of business; participate in profit/loss reviews and track financial projections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Five or more years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Up to 25% travel.
  • LAB/LIS background.
  • Knowledge of EHR applications and technical skill sets.
  • Previous client relations and/or services experience preferred.
  • Previous account management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using candidate applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • Proven track record of execution and results.
