Manager, Medical Technologists

About the role

The Pathology Department at the University of Miami is seeking a Manager, Medical Technologists to lead and manage clinical laboratory procedures, quality assurance, and instrument maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Manages teams of medical technologists responsible for performing basic tests and laboratory procedures.
• Communicates and disseminates general information and policy or procedure changes to personnel.
• Ensures that the proper laboratory equipment is in place.
• Maintains and oversees personnel, coordinates services with reference laboratories and vendors, and collaborates with other laboratories and departments to provide high quality integrated patient care.
• Oversees the development of various monthly and quarterly reports and actively improves the functions of the laboratory services.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
• Experience: Minimum 3 Years Of Relevant Experience Required.
• Certification and Licensing: Clinical Laboratory Supervisor.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Operational Management, Organizational Development, Financial Oversight, Team Leadership, Technical Proficiency, Communication.
