About the role

The Manager Materials Management position at Northridge Hospital Medical Center is responsible for overseeing the procurement and distribution of materials within the healthcare facility. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of healthcare supply chain management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the purchasing and inventory management processes to ensure efficient operation and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
  • Manage vendor contracts and negotiate terms to optimize material costs and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies related to materials management.
  • Collaborate with departments to resolve issues related to requisitions, invoices, and discrepancies.
  • Prepare reports and analyses to provide insights into material usage and potential areas for improvement.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in materials management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Materials Management or Accounts Payable within a healthcare organization.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in invoice resolution working with requisitioners, vendors, and Accounts Payable.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.
  • Experience with healthcare-specific software and systems.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

Pay

The posted compensation range is $40.96 - $60.93 /hour, reflecting the lowest to highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.

Schedule

Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
