Manager, Maintenance and Facility Services (226 Days)

About the role

Oversees the overall operation and activities of the Grounds and Athletic Fields Department, administering District policy and maintenance directives, and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, regulations, and operation instructions.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve requests for purchases of tools, equipment and supplies to meet the needs of the District
• Complete monthly overtime reports
• Visit District sites to monitor grounds and athletic fields operations
• Monitor and enforce district safety regulations
• Perform annual employee evaluations
• Analyze and resolve work problems, and assist department personnel in solving problems
• Schedule, supervise, and monitor related field contractors and subcontracted personnel as needed to accomplish tasks
• Keep abreast of and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to Grounds and Athletic Fields and Operations activities
• Interface with internal and external customers ensuring effective communications regarding status and priority of events
• Comply with District policies and procedures
• Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned

Requirements

• Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency)
• Bachelor's degree in a directly related field preferred
• In lieu of Bachelor's degree, seven (7) years of supervisory experience in the grounds and Athletic Field Maintenance
• Required Valid Texas Driver’s License and a record that meets the District’s standard
• Seven (7) years of directly related experience including two (2) years of supervisory experience

Qualifications

• General landscaping and irrigation system skills
• Knowledge of District policies and procedures
• Project management skills
• Computer skills (Microsoft office suite)
• Ability to make decisions quickly

Pay

Minimum Salary: $69,680.00, Median Salary: $84,985.00

Full-time, must be able to work flexible hours
