Manager, Local Markets Growth
We’re looking for a Manager to join the Strategy & Operations team and accelerate growth in the Mountain regions (Arizona, Denver, and Seattle). This hybrid role blends analytics and creativity to scope and implement solutions, working both independently and with a broader team. You’ll report to the General Manager of the US Local Markets team and manage a Strategy + Operations team based in your market.
About the team
The US Local Markets team is responsible for growing DoorDash’s business at the local level. As the “local operators” at DoorDash, we identify and execute opportunities to accelerate growth and improve our product across all three sides of the Marketplace (customer, merchant, Dasher).
Responsibilities
- Own business outcomes — Set and drive towards regional targets for growth and profitability
- Build the team — Recruit, lead, and develop high-performing candidates on the US Local Markets team
- Influence — Work cross-functionally with Ops, Product, Finance, Analytics, Sales, Marketing, and Dasher & Logistics partners to support strategic projects and unlock growth opportunities
- Operate — Figure out how to get from A to B, then execute
- Experiment — Run tests, scale insights, and embrace ambiguity in a competitive market
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in high-performance cultures (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or related fields)
- Experience leading and motivating a team
- Ability to summarize complex problems and translate high-level goals into actionable plans
- Bias toward action and thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Willingness to get hands-on and openness to feedback
- Crave responsibility and want to shape the direction of the market
- Experience in complex or high-growth environments; early-stage startup experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Master’s degree a plus
- Logistics, Product Management, Business Operations, and/or Partnerships experience a plus
Pay
The national base pay range for this position within the United States is $136,000—$200,000 USD. Compensation includes base salary (localized to work location) and equity grants. Market conditions and job-related factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications may influence the final offer.
