Manager, Last Mile Operations
About the role
RXO is a leading provider of transportation solutions, using cutting-edge technology to revolutionize the industry. This role offers a compensation range of 85K with potential for bonuses or commissions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of contract carriers, maintain schedules, monitor routes, and foster positive relationships
- Develop and mentor staff, train on company policies and procedures
- Carry out managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and resolving issues
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and laws, supervise employees, and allocate resources
- Use route planning software to build efficient delivery routes, manage dispatch, and resolve issues
- Identify problem areas, restructure routes, and train contract carriers and dispatchers to meet customer expectations
- Avoid errors, ensure timely completion of tasks, and take photos for each job
- Allocate and request additional resources as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of related logistics and supervisory experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or similar field
- Availability to work various shifts, including holidays, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and travel
- Mentoring, training, and guiding newer/less-experienced team members
- Bilingual English/Spanish (read, write, and speak both languages)
- Strong business acumen and willingness to partner with management teams
Qualifications
- Experience with route planning software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Pay

Schedule
Variety of shifts including holidays, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and travel between branches and regions occasionally.
