Responsibilities
- Partner with the Leadership Team, Scientific Leaders, and the Finance team to support the development and lead the execution of the IR/PR program to enhance the perception, awareness, and visibility of Laxxon Medical within the investment, biotechnology/pharmaceutical, and broader public communities.
- Oversee the external IR agency and key vendor relationships to streamline communications and maximize service delivery.
- Draft and edit investor presentations, press releases, conference scripts, earnings decks, and Q&A documents related to Laxxon’s corporate goals.
- Serve as a contact and resource for fielding investor and analyst calls and information requests, in compliance with company policies and securities regulations.
- Maintain a tracking system for all investor and investor-banking meetings and interactions.
- Support the tracking and analysis of messaging quality by maintaining dedicated analyst models.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media contacts, journalists, and industry publications to secure positive coverage and manage the Company's public narrative across print, digital, and broadcast channels.
- Support integrated marketing initiatives to ensure brand consistency across all corporate collateral, digital platforms, and industry events, reinforcing Laxxon Medical’s value proposition to clinical and commercial stakeholders.
- Support the development and execute a comprehensive public relations strategy to build and strengthen Laxxon Medical's brand reputation among media, industry stakeholders, patient advocacy groups, and the general public.
- Prepare investor presentations, press releases, conference call scripts, earnings decks, press releases, and Q&A documents related to corporate and product milestones.
- Coordinate content updates on the corporate and IR websites, ensuring accurate, up-to-date materials are continually posted and refreshed.
- Own and manage the company’s LinkedIn and social media presence, including content development, posting cadence, and audience engagement.
- Monitor industry news, competitor activity, and market trends to proactively identify opportunities for content, announcements, or thought leadership.
- Support the Executive Team to prepare leadership for media interviews, public speaking engagements, and thought leadership opportunities that elevate the Company's profile in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a pharmaceutical or technology-related field; an advanced degree or APR certification is a plus.
- 5–7 years of experience in Investor Relations, Public Relations, or Corporate Communications.
- Prior experience in Investor Relations and/or Public Relations working with a publicly traded biopharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical technology company.
- Familiar with the requirements of Reg FD and the regulatory framework under Securities law, as well as familiarity with PR ethics standards and media law.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and social media skills, with the ability to generate clear, accurate, and compelling investor and public-facing materials and engagingly deliver our messages across diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing media relations strategies, including managing press outreach, securing earned media coverage, and handling crisis communications.
- Experience interacting with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, analysts, journalists, patient advocacy groups, and industry organizations.
- Confidence in communicating with sophisticated investors, Company executives, the scientific community, and the media.
- A highly motivated individual who can successfully work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Expert in Microsoft Office Suite and website CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress). Proficiency with PR/media monitoring tools (Cision, Meltwater) and AI tools for workflow optimization.
- A working knowledge of PR and media monitoring software, including Cision and Meltwater, to track and analyze brand impact.
- Strong organizational, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
