Responsibilities
- Support the design, implementation, and ongoing execution of end-to-end (E2E) intercompany processes across global regions.
- Lead the monthly intercompany close process, ensuring timely and accurate review, guidance, and posting of intercompany transactions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Shared Services, Accounting, Treasury, Finance Systems, FP&A, and other stakeholders to drive effective and consistent global intercompany processes.
- Enforce adherence to intercompany policies, manage feedback loops, resolve disputes and mitigate associated risks.
- Maintain and continuously enhance intercompany product flowcharts to support Tax, Finance and other functional teams.
- Maintain deep expertise in embecta’s intercompany invoicing, trade flows, netting, and settlement processes; provide training and guidance to Finance teams on intercompany and transfer pricing concepts.
- Partner with Treasury to ensure intercompany settlement and reconciliation processes align with overall global strategy.
- Partner with Tax, Accounting, Treasury, and local Finance teams to support the intercompany settlement processes.
- Prepare guidance on journal entries for non-routine intercompany transactions including loans, capital contributions, and other complex arrangements.
- Support the intercompany settlement processes in collaboration with Tax, Accounting, Treasury, and local Finance teams.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to evaluate intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
- Identify and implement process improvement, standardization opportunities, and automation initiatives, ensure proper documentation of all processes.
- Drive coordination across global stakeholders to enhance intercompany systems, processes and data integrity.
- Research transactions to ensure US GAAP compliance.
- Support the implementation and ongoing optimization of SAP ICMR (Intercompany Matching and Reconciliation), including user experience and process improvement.
- Participate in SOX compliance activities, including control design, documentation, and testing, as well as special projects.
- Support system implementations and process transformation initiatives related to finance and intercompany operations.
- Perform additional tax and intercompany related responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- BS or BA in Accounting, Economics, Business, Finance or other related degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum 5-7 years of diverse experience in a global publicly traded company with a background in global consolidations, accounting, financial reporting, monthly close, and finance systems.
- Subject Matter Expert knowledge of intercompany accounting preferred.
- Good knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Relevant Sarbanes Oxley experience.
- A high degree of attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work products in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong organizational discipline.

- Experience working in a corporate tax department is preferred.
- Experience with tax transfer pricing concepts preferred.
- SAP, ICMR and Group Reporting experience is preferred.
- Blackline accounting reconciliation tool is preferred.
