Manager, Infrastructure Systems (Server Run Team)

About the Opportunity:The Manager, Infrastructure Systems (Server Run Team) leads a team of technical engineers responsible for the operation and support of core enterprise infrastructure, including VMware, Azure, and on-premises systems. This role is central to maintaining system stability, performance, and security while driving infrastructure projects that align with organizational goals. The manager enhances operational efficiency and reliability by overseeing day-to-day infrastructure activities and collaborating with IT leadership. 3. Responsibilities:• Manage and mentor a team of technical engineers, promoting collaboration and professional development• Recruit, retain, and develop staff to maintain a high-performing infrastructure team• Establish and monitor performance expectations and conduct evaluations• Develop and implement short- and long-term infrastructure goals aligned with organizational objectives• Lead projects to enhance system capabilities and operational efficiency• Ensure high availability, security, and scalability of enterprise infrastructure systems• Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and key performance indicators for operations• Monitor server system performance to ensure optimal functionality and security• Implement best practices for a reliable, mission-critical production environment• Coordinate resolution of technical issues to minimize downtime• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for effective troubleshooting• Provide strategic input on technology investments and enhancements• Align infrastructure strategies with business needs alongside IT leadership• Drive continuous improvement initiatives• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards 4. Requirements:• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience• Seven years of experience designing and implementing complex systems on multiple platforms• Experience managing reliable, mission-critical, geographically dispersed production environments• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, networking, and security best practices• Familiarity with cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure solutions• Experience with automation, configuration management, and system monitoring tools• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment• Strong analytical and decision-making skills Preferred:• Master''s degree in a relevant field• Experience with ITIL frameworks and service management• Certifications such as PMP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator 5.
