Manager In Training (Part Time)

About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults on action plans to achieve departmental and store goals, and serves as an ambassador promoting the brand.

Responsibilities

• Affixes to the Store Manager in managing store assets and overseeing operations.
• Collaborates with the Store Manager to establish strategies for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assumes full responsibility of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Guides employees and customers across all departments as needed.
• Monitors inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to maintain profitability.
• Ensures quality customer service and maintains accurate records.
• Performs general administrative duties and is trained in the Store Manager’s responsibilities.
• Provides extraordinary customer service, including greeting customers and handling multiple inquiries during peak periods.
• Promotes and sells merchandise while adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Protects company assets and financial information through effective internal controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, particularly in footwear and athletic apparel.
• One to three years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Passion for customer service and merchandise sales.
